About the Role
Leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of scholarship and grant programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, regulatory standards, and student needs.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and administration of scholarship and grant funding programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
- Oversee application review processes and award disbursement workflows
- Collaborate with financial aid, enrollment, and academic departments
- Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and equity of distribution
- Manage grant reporting requirements and external funder expectations
- Lead a team of program coordinators and specialists
- Develop policies to streamline operations and improve accessibility
- Monitor funding trends and identify new external funding opportunities
- Prepare budgets and track expenditures for all scholarship programs
- Design outreach strategies to increase awareness among eligible students
- Evaluate applicant qualifications using established criteria and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data privacy standards
- Support audits and accreditation reviews related to financial aid
- Implement technology solutions to enhance application and tracking systems
- Facilitate training for staff and campus partners on program updates
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in award selection processes
- Serve as primary contact for scholarship-related inquiries from students and families
- Coordinate with external donors and advisory boards
- Produce regular performance reports for senior leadership
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and outcomes
- Ensure timely communication of award decisions to recipients
- Address appeals and exceptions in accordance with policy
- Stay current with changes in higher education funding landscapes
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and student-centered service
