About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of global medical meetings and congresses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all stages of event planning and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of global medical congresses and meetings
- Develop strategic agendas aligned with medical and commercial objectives
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for event services
- Oversee budget development and financial tracking for global events
- Coordinate logistics for international meetings, including travel and accommodations
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks
- Drive adoption of digital and hybrid meeting platforms
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting event planning
- Prepare executive summaries and post-event performance reports
- Support internal stakeholders in session preparation and speaker coordination
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event materials
- Lead cross-regional teams to align global strategies with local needs
- Implement sustainability practices in event design and execution
- Manage crisis response plans for in-person and virtual events
- Track key performance indicators for event success and engagement
- Facilitate training for team members on event management tools
- Optimize processes using project management methodologies
- Maintain centralized documentation for audits and knowledge sharing
- Evaluate third-party vendors for quality, cost, and compliance
- Coordinate with communications teams on external event announcements
- Ensure accessibility standards are met for all participants
- Support compliance training related to promotional and medical content
- Liaise with external partners for accreditation and scientific programming
- Promote diversity and inclusion in speaker selection and event design
