Hire Overseas is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build joyful, movement-driven experiences that blend fitness and fun. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role helping bring cozy, monster-collecting games to life while contributing to a mission that gets players walking, playing, and living healthier lives.
What You'll Do
- Build backend services and live game systems using Playfab, Azure, Unity, and C#.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Build responsive websites and game interfaces using React Native, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Partner with engineering, art, design, and narrative teams to align features with game vision.
- Document and communicate technical designs, and support debugging across departments.
- Troubleshoot live issues and optimize backend workflows for smooth daily operations.
- Perform code reviews and pair with teammates to continuously improve the codebase.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in software or game development.
- Shipped a commercial Unity game or major feature (mobile preferred).
- Confident working end-to-end on fullstack features from ideation to deployment.
- Familiar with live service integration (e.g. Playfab, REST APIs, cloud functions).
- Excellent collaborator and communicator—especially in remote-first teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with web technologies (React, REST APIs, cloud dashboards).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Unity’s Addressables, UaaL, or mobile sensor APIs (step count, geolocation).
- Background in wellness, fitness, or movement-based games.
- Curiosity around using AI, ML, or UGC in gaming experiences.
