We’re building a new sports gaming product and need a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to help lay the technical foundation. You’ll play a central role in developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with a primary focus on performance, reliability, and timely delivery. This is a hands-on position where your work will directly shape the first release of the platform and influence future iterations.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement backend systems critical to the product’s launch, ensuring they are robust and scalable
- Collaborate closely with another engineer to deliver features efficiently and with high quality
- Support deployment pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices to maintain system stability
- Work alongside a design partner to translate UX/UI concepts into functional, well-structured code
- Iterate on the football version of the game after launch and assist in adapting the platform for other sports
- Balance rapid development cycles with clean, maintainable code practices
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- Proven background in backend development, with some exposure to front-end technologies
- Experience managing infrastructure or supporting deployment workflows (2+ years)
- Ability to thrive in a small, agile team with shifting priorities and aggressive timelines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with React for light front-end contributions
- Experience designing systems with scalability and performance in mind
- A track record of solving complex backend challenges that can compensate for limited front-end experience
Work Environment
This is a remote, full-time role based in India with fixed working hours: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM IST during summer and 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST in winter. There is no weekend work, supporting a sustainable work-life balance.
