Position Overview:
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Enterprise Services Data organization, AI Foundations team. The role involves driving cutting-edge AI, ML, and data capabilities to solve diverse aerospace challenges through:
- Collaborating with product leadership on technical capability roadmaps
- Serving as technical stakeholders for the AI platform
- Evaluating state-of-the-art vendors and external capabilities
- Building enablers, products, and services
What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting batch and real-time processing across structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
- Collaborate with data architecture, analytics, ML engineering, and product teams
- Implement data quality checks and validation logic
- Work with cloud platforms and distributed computing frameworks
- Design and maintain metadata, lineage, and documentation
- Optimize data storage, compute, and pipeline performance
- Implement security and access control standards
- Troubleshoot production data issues
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years professional experience in data engineering
- 5+ years programming, particularly Python
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools
- 3+ years cloud computing platform experience
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Understanding of data governance frameworks
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship

Salary Range: 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD
