Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify model based control algorithms for remotely operated vehicles
- Extend and maintain validation environments including simulation, hardware in the loop (HIL), and in vehicle testing
- Drive testing and calibration campaigns with organising and supporting track tests onsite for data collection and controller tuning.
- Support data collection, data management, processing, and analysis to evaluate control performance and identify improvement areas
- Improve automation across development, testing, and validation workflows to increase reliability and development velocity
- Work closely with embedded software, hardware, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration and robust end to end control performance
Requirements
- Strong experience using MATLAB and Simulink for model based control design and strong understanding of control fundamentals
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics fundamentals
- Experience working with simulation environments, HIL setups, and or in vehicle validation
- A structured, analytical approach to debugging, performance evaluation, and system improvement
- Ability to work effectively across disciplines in a complex, safety critical system
- Comfortable contributing independently while integrating smoothly into a small, experienced team. Being comfortable and flexible to work in a fast paced environment with ambitious deliverables and changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with code generation workflows
- Experience with AUTOSAR blocksets
- Knowledge of C for embedded systems
