Role Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing high-value and intricate commercial property claims from initiation to resolution, operating within a hybrid work model across key Australian locations. The role emphasizes clear communication, technical proficiency, and strong relationship-building across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a portfolio of significant and technically challenging property claims, supported by seasoned leadership
- Maintain consistent, empathetic, and proactive communication with clients, brokers, and service providers through multiple channels
- Foster trust and collaboration with partners across the claims lifecycle
- Adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment where challenges vary daily
- Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance claims processes and team performance
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in corporate property claims, particularly Industrial Special Risks (ISR)
- Resilience and composure when managing high-pressure situations, with the ability to make sound judgments
- Strong interpersonal skills to guide others through complex claim scenarios with clarity and care
- Proficiency with digital tools, adaptability to new systems, and effective time management
- Self-driven attitude with a focus on quality outcomes and continuous learning

Work Environment
This role operates under a hybrid model, requiring two days per week in the office—featuring one fixed anchor day set by your team—with the remainder of the week worked remotely. The standard schedule runs Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:00pm, across QBE offices in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, and other designated locations.
