Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and oversee cloud environments using AWS technologies including AWS Transform, AWS DMS, and AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Leverage AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, automation of infrastructure workflows, and performance improvements.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code methodologies with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to enable repeatable and stable deployments.
- Adhere to Site Reliability Engineering principles to enhance system resilience and operational efficiency.
- Perform resource optimization through performance analysis, capacity forecasting, and cost management of cloud assets.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and operational health of cloud platforms to support high availability, scalability, and security for the DOIS system.
- Partner with development and operations teams to embed cloud infrastructure into CI/CD workflows and align with DevSecOps standards.
- Enforce adherence to USPS security policies, data governance rules, and regulatory compliance across all cloud deployments.
- Create and update technical documentation such as system diagrams, configuration code, and operational runbooks.
- Respond to cloud incidents with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution support.
- Build and sustain comprehensive reporting systems by applying full-stack development expertise to connect front-end visualization tools with backend data pipelines and storage solutions.

- This role requires U.S. residency for the past five years under specific conditions: U.S. citizens must not have been outside the U.S. (including territories) for more than 6 consecutive months in the last 3 years unless exceptions apply; non-U.S. citizens must not have been outside for more than 90 consecutive days in that period.
- Scheduled weekly working hours are 40.
