As a Senior AI Backend Engineer, you'll play a central role in architecting and deploying backend systems that power intelligent, LLM-based features. This role demands deep technical expertise in AI agent design, retrieval-augmented generation, and scalable backend development.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement backend services that integrate large language models into functional, scalable applications
- Develop and refine AI agent workflows, including tool usage, state management, and multi-step reasoning
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines using vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate
- Manage prompt orchestration, context handling, and input-output routing at scale
- Improve system efficiency by reducing latency, managing token usage, and ensuring reliability
- Drive AI features from prototype to production, with full ownership of deployment and monitoring
What We're Looking For
- Proven background in backend development using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or Nest.js
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI APIs, and building systems that leverage them effectively
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding workflows
- Track record of implementing RAG systems in production environments
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, context window management, and system design for AI
- Experience deploying and maintaining AI features in live products
