About the Role
The artist will design and produce detailed 3D prop models, supporting project goals with efficient workflows and asset optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-fidelity 3D prop models from concept art and design references
- Ensure all assets meet technical specifications for target platforms
- Collaborate with art leads and technical teams to align with project vision
- Optimize models for performance without sacrificing visual quality
- Create and apply textures and materials using industry-standard tools
- Maintain consistency in style and quality across all prop assets
- Participate in peer reviews and incorporate feedback effectively
- Adapt assets based on iterative design changes
- Follow established art pipelines and production standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve modeling or texturing issues
- Assist in setting benchmarks for asset quality and delivery timelines
- Document processes for asset creation and revision
- Support integration of props into game or simulation environments
- Stay current with evolving 3D software and rendering techniques
- Contribute to asset libraries for reuse and scalability
- Work within version control systems for asset management
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards
- Communicate progress and challenges to supervisors
- Ensure compatibility with lighting and shading systems
- Assist in defining prop design guidelines
- Use reference material to ensure realism and accuracy
- Balance creative input with project constraints
- Support cross-disciplinary teams with asset-related queries
- Maintain organized project files and naming conventions
- Participate in art direction discussions when needed
