Role Overview
This position is part of a cross-border sales and project management unit specializing in the maintenance and repair of large power transformers across Germany’s northern region. You will act as a technical and commercial liaison, preparing detailed proposals, guiding sales discussions, and ensuring project requirements are accurately defined and addressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret customer-specific technical needs for transformer service and repair projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive technical and commercial offers
- Support sales colleagues in clarifying and negotiating technical specifications with clients
- Assess market dynamics in the assigned region to uncover expansion potential
- Formulate and execute strategies to grow market presence
- Identify and analyze technical risks associated with projects
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to align project requirements
- Monitor project scope changes and initiate timely corrective measures
- Work jointly with technical and commercial units to implement solutions during project execution
Qualifications
Candidates must have completed academic or vocational training in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field such as master craftsman programs. Several years of experience in technical sales or project coordination are required. A solid grasp of high-voltage equipment is essential, along with fluency in both written and spoken German and English. Proficiency in MS Office applications is expected.
Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a natural inclination toward sales activities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities—especially when working with technically demanding clients—are key to success in this role.
Preferred Background
Familiarity with transformer technology is highly beneficial and will support deeper engagement with technical proposals and customer interactions.
