EU Hybrid

Solenis is hiring a Robotics Specialist Europe

About the Role

The Robotics Specialist Europe plays a central role in advancing robotic cleaning technology across the continent. This position combines deep technical knowledge with hands-on implementation to ensure successful adoption of robotic systems from initial assessment through full deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide technical insight during customer engagements and tender processes. Conduct both on-site and virtual demonstrations to showcase robotic capabilities and support solution design tailored to customer environments.

Perform comprehensive site evaluations, analyzing navigation feasibility, mapping requirements, docking placement, and workflow integration. Assist in developing technical proposals, including solution architecture and ROI modeling, while translating operational challenges into efficient robotic processes.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving SLAM and navigation systems, sensor performance (LiDAR, ultrasonic, vision), firmware, software, network connectivity, and charging logic. Perform authorized system updates, calibrations, and resets as needed, documenting all findings and escalating to R&D when necessary.

Lead enterprise-wide deployment projects, acting as technical lead from pilot phase to full rollout. Develop maps, routes, zones, and automated workflows, then validate performance on-site for coverage, runtime, docking reliability, and uptime. Provide on-site optimization support during early deployment stages and coordinate with project managers, service partners, and facility teams to ensure smooth handover.

Design and deliver structured training programs for sales and technical teams, covering robot features, demonstration techniques, mapping, configuration, and troubleshooting. Create training materials such as instructional guides and videos, and support onboarding of new hires through hands-on sessions.

Serve as the primary technical liaison between field operations and R&D, sharing field data, logs, and improvement suggestions. Communicate technical updates and recommendations back to internal teams and key customers. Train customer personnel to operate, maintain, and manage robotic fleets independently, ensuring confidence and readiness before project completion.

Maintain detailed records of site surveys, deployments, incidents, and configurations. Deliver regular progress reports to leadership, track performance KPIs, and recommend enhancements to improve fleet efficiency.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to explain advanced robotics concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Experience working across sales, service, and engineering functions is essential, along with a proactive mindset and high sense of ownership.

Proficiency in diagnosing robotic systems—including electrical components, firmware, and sensor integration—is required. Familiarity with basic networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, firewalls, and port configuration is necessary. Willingness to travel frequently across Europe is expected.

Prior experience with professional cleaning equipment or automation systems is advantageous. Technical expertise in SLAM, navigation, sensor technologies, and robot fleet management is critical to success in this role.
