About the Role
The individual in this role will be responsible for handling revenue recognition, maintaining accounting records, and supporting audits and financial reviews. They will work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly revenue close processes and ensure timely completion
- Track and record revenue in accordance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with sales and legal teams to review contracts for revenue implications
- Maintain documentation to support revenue transactions and audits
- Assist in internal and external financial audits
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Monitor deferred revenue balances and recognition schedules
- Support compliance with ASC 606 or equivalent standards
- Identify and resolve revenue-related discrepancies
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
- Generate recurring revenue reports for management review
- Ensure proper revenue treatment for multi-element arrangements
- Maintain the general ledger with accurate revenue data
- Participate in system improvements related to financial operations
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Coordinate with customer support on billing inquiries
- Review customer contracts for key revenue terms
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities
- Help implement internal controls for financial accuracy
