Uptalent.io is hiring a Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Your focus will be on the mechanical design of equipment enclosures and integrated platforms that house batteries, inverters, transformers, and other critical power infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design mechanical enclosures and structural platforms for battery energy storage systems.
- Develop equipment layouts and mechanical assemblies supporting service access, ventilation, and cable routing.
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks, including sheet metal and weldments.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis to support battery cooling and system safety.
- Coordinate closely with electrical and manufacturing teams to ensure proper equipment integration.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and product development phases.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in mechanical product design using SolidWorks.
- Experience with sheet metal, structural assemblies, and thermal management of electrical equipment.
