Responsibilities
- Proactively identify top-tier candidates using direct outreach, targeted cold sourcing, social media, Boolean searches, cross-industry research, and professional networking
- Build and maintain a pipeline of pre-veted, immediately available candidates for frequently filled positions
- Identify and evaluate transferable skills from related sectors such as skilled trades, military, education, and hospitality based on hiring requirements
- Create, publish, and manage job advertisements across multiple job boards including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn
- Monitor job ad performance and optimize campaigns through A/B testing, audience targeting, and language improvements to maximize return on investment
- Manage recruitment budgets efficiently and deliver financial and operational reports to leadership when required
- Conduct dynamic initial screening calls that probe beyond basic answers, using follow-up questions to uncover red flags and assess communication, professionalism, and cultural fit
- Assess applicants based on motivation, responsiveness, conduct, and engagement throughout the hiring process, not solely on technical credentials
- Review resumes and work histories critically to spot inconsistencies, frequent job changes, unexplained employment gaps, or mismatches with role expectations
- Collaborate directly with the HR Director to clarify role criteria, define ideal candidate profiles, and align with workforce planning
- Keep applicant tracking system records accurate and current, ensuring adherence to internal hiring policies
- Deliver consistent updates, hiring analytics, and candidate pipeline reports to HR leadership
- Measure and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and performance outcomes
