Exadel is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team focused on financial software quality assurance. This role centers on testing and validating BlackRock Aladdin modules, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of trade lifecycle workflows for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Execute functional and regression test cases across Aladdin modules
- Validate trade lifecycle workflows, data accuracy, and reconciliation outputs
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect triage
- Document test plans, scripts, and results clearly and thoroughly
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution
- Partner with business analysts, developers, and derivatives SMEs
- Provide go-live support, including issue validation and stabilization activities
- Assist with post-production monitoring during hypercare phase
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in QA within capital markets or asset management environments
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin (functional testing level)
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle concepts (order capture → confirmation → settlement → reporting)
- Familiarity with financial instruments (equities, fixed income; derivatives exposure preferred)
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Comfortable working in distributed, cross-border teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to derivatives workflows (OTC swaps, futures, options, FX, etc.)
- Experience supporting a production go-live or platform migration
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience working with North American stakeholders
