Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent engineering efforts with strong ownership
- Collaborate across teams to drive high-quality technical solutions and outcomes
- Maintain deep product and customer knowledge to inform testing strategy and risk assessment
- Own feature-level testing strategy and execution
- Review and improve test strategies created by other Quality Engineers
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans across multiple testing types (e.g., end-to-end, API, performance, integration, accessibility)
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites
- Execute tests, report defects, and ensure high-quality validation of fixes
- Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and systemic quality issues
- Troubleshoot complex defects and support root cause analysis
- Review test code and provide high-quality, actionable feedback
- Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and overall quality practices
- Estimate effort at the feature level and support delivery planning
- Deploy to and maintain test environments
- Participate in and occasionally lead production incident response
- Improve test design, coverage, and edge case identification using AI-assisted tools
- Accelerate debugging, investigation, and failure analysis using AI-assisted tools
- Enhance understanding of system behavior and quality risks using AI-assisted tools
- Review AI-generated test artifacts and outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and meaningful coverage
- Review AI-generated test artifacts and outputs to ensure alignment with real-world user behavior and system requirements
- Review AI-generated test artifacts and outputs to ensure adherence to team quality standards
- Coach and mentor engineers on effective and responsible use of AI-assisted testing tools
- Reinforce expectations that AI-generated outputs meet the same quality standards as manually created tests
- Help elevate team practices for integrating AI into testing workflows
- Communicate testing strategy, risks, and quality insights clearly to stakeholders
