Responsibilities
- Take ownership across a broad remit, making decisions that drive material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
- Work in small teams of exceptional people who solve problems and find smarter solutions
- Build the best technology in-house using new data sources, machine learning, and AI
- Ship features used daily by Operations teams
- Help shape both internal tools and technical direction at Lendable
- Build internally facing web applications and robust automations to support Operations teams efficiently and at scale
- Work closely with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to deploy solutions that support ops agents
- Use AI pragmatically where it adds real value
Requirements
- Solid experience with Python in a web application context
- Experience with web frameworks like FastAPI, Django or Flask (company uses FastAPI)
- Experience with Javascript/Typescript and a modern JS framework such as React, Angular or Vue.js (company generally uses React & NextJS)
- Strong engineering principles & practices: design patterns, testing, clean code and a good reviewer
- Previous experience working in a product-focused team
- A keen desire to learn and input into a highly collaborative team
- A desire to learn about and experiment with Generative AI and LLMs
Nice to Have
- Use of AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, Claude or others in day-to-day coding
- Exposure to Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
- SQL, and finding your way around data schemas
- Shipping containerised software with Argo, Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform
- Skill with CSS and exposure to Tailwind
