Relativity Space is looking for a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer to oversee end-to-end manufacturing for the development and production of Combustion Device hardware for Aeon-R and Vacuum Engine programs. You will develop initial processes required to build the hardware, implement them into production, and drive continuous improvements to enable a rapid production ramp.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing for the development and production of Combustion Device hardware.
- Develop initial processes, implement them into production, and drive process improvements to enable rapid production ramp.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders within Manufacturing and across the organization to drive manufacturability and scalability.
- Ensure delivery to meet program targets while driving continuous improvement, new product development, and strategic manufacturing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience authoring work instructions and process procedures for complex assemblies.
- Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel.
- Proven ability to execute and drive projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and effectively advocate for Design for Manufacturing principles.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with Combustion Device Design or Manufacturing.
- Experience in scaling from development to high-rate production.
