Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle manufacturing process development for connectors, from raw materials to final assembly, ensuring optimal producibility and cost efficiency.
- Design and validate assembly processes and tooling concepts, including execution of design of experiments for process development.
- Serve as technical lead and problem solver during process development, from low to high volume manufacturing, including tooling design, qualification, and issue resolution.
- Develop standardized manufacturing processes across product platforms.
- Define detailed process specifications and requirements for automation teams to develop automated machinery.
- Evaluate product designs for ease of manufacturing and cost-effectiveness, proposing improvements when necessary.
- Execute product launches at full production rate using analytical tools such as FACA and QCPA to monitor yield, CPK, and OEE.
- Ensure on-time product launches through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation including DFM, FMEAs, work instructions, and FACA/QCPA records.
