As a Principal AI Engineer, you'll drive innovation in Physical AI for autonomous vehicles, focusing on creating robust foundation models and end-to-end machine learning pipelines. Your work will directly enhance the performance and scalability of driverless systems operating in complex urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and implement advanced foundation models tailored for real-world autonomous driving scenarios
- Design and maintain scalable AI data pipelines that enable continuous model improvement
- Apply machine learning techniques to interpret 3D traffic environments using multimodal sensor inputs
- Develop rigorous evaluation frameworks that reflect actual driving conditions
- Optimize models for efficient deployment on production-grade hardware
- Partner with autonomy, data, and systems engineering teams to transition models from research to real-world deployment
Qualifications
Candidates should have extensive experience in developing and deploying full-cycle machine learning systems in autonomous driving or robotics. A Master’s or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related field is required. Demonstrated proficiency in applying ML to 3D scene understanding, along with strong skills in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, is essential.
Experience with C++ and a proven ability to bridge research prototypes with production-ready systems under performance constraints are valued assets.
