Aledade is hiring a Policy Specialist

As a Policy Specialist, you will drive policy initiatives across a diverse portfolio of five markets, serving as the go-to expert on primary care sustainability and value-based care models. Your work will center on shaping policy environments through strategic advocacy, stakeholder collaboration, and informed analysis that supports both local and national objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of state-level policy landscapes, including payer dynamics, clinical engagement, and regulatory frameworks affecting primary care delivery
  • Act as a central resource for internal teams, providing timely policy guidance to inform market strategies and operational decisions
  • Build relationships with external partners such as state associations, government agencies, and health plans to advance shared goals
  • Design and implement state-specific advocacy campaigns, including presentations, policy briefs, webinars, and legislative outreach efforts
  • Support the formation and facilitation of policy workgroups to influence legislative and regulatory developments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives spanning partnerships, growth, clinical operations, and communications
  • Represent the organization at public forums, conferences, and policy events, as needed
  • Contribute to federal and state-level policy responses, including comment letters, regulatory feedback, and position development

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience; a Master’s degree in public policy, health policy, or related field may offset some experience requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, business, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of federal and state legislative processes, with a focus on healthcare policy
  • Willingness and ability to register as a lobbyist in one or more assigned states
  • Proven ability to communicate complex policy concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in value-based care or primary care advocacy is strongly preferred
  • Background in grassroots organizing or political campaigns is advantageous
  • Must be able to travel to each of the five assigned markets once or twice per year, plus attend 3–5 team events or conferences annually
