Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including off-cycle and bonus payments.
- Verify accuracy of employee data, pay rates, deductions, and tax withholdings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Calculate employee hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions with precision.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Keep payroll records current and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain and update payroll systems to safeguard data integrity.
- Conduct regular audits of pay rates, deductions, and tax-related data for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage multi-state payroll tax filings and stay updated on changing regulations.
- Produce standard and on-demand payroll reports for financial closing, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Oversee time and attendance systems, ensuring correct time entries, leave records, and approvals.
- Answer employee questions about HR policies, procedures, and operational processes.
- Support employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and transfers.
- Assist with employee benefit program administration, including enrollments and updates.
- Support leave tracking and management processes.
- Ensure employee data is correctly entered, securely stored, and protected in HR systems.
- Perform periodic audits to verify the accuracy of employee records.
- Support system upgrades, implementations, and process optimization initiatives.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits related to payroll and HR compliance.
- Uphold confidentiality in all aspects of work.
- Support additional HR operations tasks as required.
