Role Overview
As a Payroll Associate, you will play a key part in managing core payroll functions for employees across Germany. This position supports the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while ensuring adherence to local regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and processing of payroll data, ensuring correct input of wages, hours, and deductions
- Review employee records for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Assist in calculating payroll taxes and preparing documentation for statutory filings
- Respond to employee inquiries about payslips, tax forms, and payroll adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to uphold compliance with German payroll laws and data privacy standards
Qualifications
- Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a payroll or administrative support role within Germany
- Proficiency in German at B2 level or higher, with working knowledge of English
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Organized approach to managing recurring tasks and deadlines
- Familiarity with payroll systems and basic digital tools
Work Environment
