Cognizant is looking for an Omni and Cobol Product Engineer to join our team. You will take a proactive role in designing and implementing product architectures that meet strategic business goals, particularly within the Retirement domain. We offer a remote work environment for candidates located across Canada.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement robust product architectures that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of product features.
- Analyze and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to support product development and deployment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular code reviews to maintain quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical issues and minimize downtime.
- Oversee the deployment and testing of new product features to ensure functionality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in Linux Shell Scripting, OmniPlus, Omni Script, VSAM, and Cobol.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing product architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Knowledge of the Life and Annuities Insurance domain.
