Motorola Solutions is hiring a Market Development Executive (MDE), United States Army. In this role, you will serve as Silvus Technologies’ senior market-shaping leader for the U.S. Army enterprise, influencing capability requirements and building strategic relationships at senior levels. You will orchestrate the long-term growth strategy across Army modernization programs to shape demand and cultivate advocacy for Silvus technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Leverage an established senior-level network within the U.S. Army to shape requirements and sponsor Silvus Technologies across modernization programs.
  • Drive early visibility for Silvus in emerging Program of Record and OTA opportunities.
  • Position Silvus within Army concepts such as JADC2, Unified Network, and Transformation in Contact.
  • Serve as the senior 'market anchor' for the U.S. Army, coordinating a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime Sales.
  • Align internal stakeholders to deliver unified messaging and pursuit strategy for priority programs.
  • Partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy and policy outreach.
  • Provide continuous market insight on Army network modernization, tactical communications, and EW/spectrum management.
  • Identify and cultivate emerging opportunities for long-term revenue growth.
  • Represent Silvus at senior Army, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership.
  • Develop and execute the U.S. Army Market Development Plan.
  • Contribute to pipeline growth by ensuring multi-year program opportunities are identified and matured.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry.
  • Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) OR extensive experience as a senior civilian (GS-15/SES equivalent) or defense industry executive.
  • Pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts at senior levels within the U.S. Army.
  • Deep branch-domain knowledge of U.S. Army tactical network mission, structure, and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and 'big picture' thinking.
  • Ability to operate with a high-level of autonomy and build trust as a credible advisor.
  • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Track record of successfully shaping requirements for major DoD programs.
  • Experience with C5ISR, tactical communications, unmanned systems, or spectrum/EW applications.

Team & Environment

You will report to the Vice President of Strategic Growth on the Sales team and coordinate a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime Sales.
