About the Role
The role involves driving manufacturing process improvements, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a dynamic production setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Support transfer of products between facilities with detailed documentation
- Create process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development phases
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in production
- Lead process validation activities including process performance qualification
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements
- Participate in risk assessments and design for manufacturability reviews
- Manage change controls and document revisions using quality systems
- Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and equipment
- Support supplier qualification and second-source development
- Use data analysis to monitor process capability and drive improvements
- Work with design teams to ensure producibility of new products
- Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory submissions
- Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and equipment
- Ensure workplace safety and adherence to environmental standards
- Coordinate with quality assurance on non-conformance investigations
- Support scale-up activities from prototype to full production
- Monitor key performance indicators for production operations
- Assist in facility and equipment qualification projects
- Prepare technical reports and presentation materials
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for engineering tasks
- Utilize engineering software for process modeling and documentation
