About the Role
This position involves managing logistics processes throughout the life cycle of systems, focusing on planning, analysis, and integration of support solutions to maintain system readiness and performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze logistics requirements across all phases of system life cycles
- Develop and maintain life cycle sustainment plans
- Evaluate supply chain performance and recommend improvements
- Support integrated logistics support teams
- Monitor spare parts availability and procurement timelines
- Assess maintenance planning documentation for completeness
- Track reliability and maintainability metrics
- Prepare reports on logistics performance indicators
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams
- Identify risks in logistics support and propose mitigation strategies
- Manage data related to inventory and distribution networks
- Support configuration management processes
- Conduct analysis of repair and replacement strategies
- Assist in the development of technical manuals and support documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal and organizational logistics standards
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in logistics, operations research, or engineering
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes
- Familiarity with MIL-STD logistics documentation
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems
- Project management experience
- Prior work on complex system sustainment programs
- Experience with data modeling and forecasting tools
