Lead Technical Architect (Networking / Security) – This role leads the design and implementation of complex, multi-vendor IT infrastructure solutions in a post-sales delivery environment. You will guide a team of engineers and consultants, ensuring technical excellence across networking and security projects for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a technical team, overseeing project quality, professional development, and resource planning
- Design and validate scalable solutions using advanced networking and security technologies
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to access engineering support and lab environments
- Develop standardized assessment and delivery frameworks used across the organization
- Lead internal training initiatives and contribute to performance evaluations
- Act as a technical escalation point and ensure consistent service delivery
- Maintain relationships with key technology partners and stay current with evolving product roadmaps
- Support sales teams with solution design, scoping, and documentation
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least 15 years of hands-on IT experience, including five or more in a technical architect or consultant capacity. A strong foundation in LAN, WAN, wireless, and security technologies is essential, with direct experience in Cisco (including Meraki), Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms. Recent work with Cisco ACI, Nexus Data Broker, DNAC, and SD-WAN solutions is required. Must hold or pursue advanced certifications such as CCIE or CISSP.
Exceptional communication, client engagement, and documentation abilities are expected. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound business judgment, including familiarity with pricing models and project profitability. Preferred qualifications include experience with Juniper, Aruba, and current CCIE certification.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with primary locations in King of Prussia, PA, NYC, Upstate New York, and New England. Up to 20% travel to client sites is required. Reliable transportation is necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
