As a Lead Software Engineer in Product Engineering, you will shape the architecture and execution of systems that power both customer-facing applications and clinical workflows. Within your first three months, you're expected to be fully engaged, taking ownership of key components in either the Member Experience or Medical Excellence domains.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement end-to-end features that improve user journeys, prioritizing resilience, scalability, and clinical safety.
- Champion AI-integrated development practices, leveraging tools like Claude Code to streamline coding tasks and focus engineering effort on high-impact design and outcomes.
- Clarify complex challenges by identifying root problems early, asking insightful questions, and delivering candid, constructive feedback.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen system reliability and quality, ensuring platforms can scale efficiently with growing demand.
- Mentor fellow engineers to deepen technical rigor, enhance problem-solving approaches, and maintain a strong focus on the end user.
- Work closely with Product, Data Science, and Hardware teams to ensure technical solutions align with real-world clinical and operational requirements.

- Proven track record building and maintaining large-scale software used by real customers.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills paired with product awareness and a sense of ownership.
- Regular experience using AI coding assistants, with the ability to reflect on how and when they improve development speed and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to go beyond task completion—anticipating needs and driving meaningful improvements for members.
- Background in designing or contributing to complex, production-grade systems.
- Skill in collaborating with non-technical partners and translating technical choices into tangible business value.
