As the Lead Salesforce Platform Engineer, you will shape the technical foundation of a growing digital ecosystem where Salesforce serves as the central system for engagement and orchestration. You'll lead architectural design, integration strategy, and platform governance across critical enterprise systems including AWS, Oracle NetSuite, and BambooHR.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and govern scalable integrations using APIs, event-driven patterns, and microservices across cloud platforms.
- Lead hands-on development in Apex and Lightning Web Components while maintaining strong administrative oversight of security, roles, and environments.
- Define and enforce technical standards for data modeling, API design, error handling, and resilience across integrated systems.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git-based version control, ensuring traceability and consistency from development to production.
- Establish observability practices with monitoring, logging, and documentation to support system reliability and incident response.
- Review and guide vendor-built solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and institutional goals.
- Mentor engineering and product teams, raising technical maturity through knowledge sharing and architectural guidance.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance code quality, automate reviews, and streamline documentation workflows.
- Balance scalability, cost, and flexibility in infrastructure decisions, with a focus on long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
You bring 9+ years of experience in Salesforce engineering or enterprise architecture, with deep technical expertise in platform development, integration patterns, and cloud infrastructure. A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer or System Architect.
Proven leadership in full-stack development, API design, and cloud operations is essential. You have successfully delivered integration architectures in AWS environments and have experience managing vendor delivery to technical standards.
Preferred experience includes working with NetSuite, BambooHR, or similar SaaS platforms, and applying AI tools to improve engineering outcomes.
