Alabama Solutions is hiring a Lead Engineer to provide dedicated support for a key US-based account within its international business unit. You will be expected to make significant full-stack contributions while taking ownership of technical architecture and mentoring other engineers on the team.
What You'll Do
- Make full-stack contributions across the codebase.
- Have an outsized impact and ownership of architecture and stack choices.
- Mentor and lead other engineers on the team.
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) or more years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Fluent to native English proficiency (C1+ and above).
- Native-level Spanish proficiency.
- Four (4) or more years working with Typescript + Node.js on the backend.
- Four (4) or more years working with Typescript + React on the frontend.
- Solid experience working with agentic coding tools such as Cursor or Claude.
- Proven experience working in a 100% remote setting.
- Two (2) years or more of experience working with a US, Canada, or UK-based startup.
- A team player mentality with well-developed soft skills.
Nice to Have
- Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience.
- Two (2) years or more of focused experience working with React.
- Experience developing well-structured APIs and/or working with NestJS.
- Experience working with LLMs.
- Some experience in managing teams or a demonstrated willingness to develop those skills.
