Responsibilities
- Deliver critical power systems that fulfill customer needs while meeting safety, quality, reliability, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members on project initiatives.
- Collaborate with international development teams to resolve issues affecting performance, safety, functionality, and component supply.
- Create mathematical models and algorithms for digital signal processing in power conversion technologies.
- Assess alternative control system architectures and designs to determine optimal solutions for specific applications.
- Use control theory principles to develop controllers that meet desired product performance targets.
- Build and execute simulations in MATLAB/Simulink to validate control system designs.
- Test and verify control strategies using real-time simulation platforms such as OPAL-RT.
- Contribute to new product development projects—including uninterruptible power systems and energy storage systems—while aligning with cost, schedule, and performance goals, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Evaluate product requirements derived from customer and product management inputs.
- Analyze, design, and support testing or debugging of control software for power quality and backup power systems.
- Employ sound engineering judgment and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Support a culture aligned with organizational values, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards.
