As the IT Engineer for our Taipei office, you will play a central role in sustaining the technology environment that powers the development of advanced AI-specific hardware. You'll ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations for engineering and operations teams working on cutting-edge ASIC design and large-scale simulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on support for mixed-OS environments, including Linux for EDA workflows, macOS, and Windows systems used across engineering and business teams.
- Manage the full lifecycle of endpoint devices—procurement, imaging, deployment, MDM/MAM enforcement, and decommissioning—using platforms like Jamf, Intune, or JumpCloud.
- Administer and secure network infrastructure, including VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and VPNs to protect sensitive design data.
- Implement and maintain endpoint protection solutions such as EDR and XDR, alongside antivirus and antimalware systems, to safeguard critical assets.
- Automate user provisioning and access management through identity systems like Okta, Rippling, and FreeIPA, integrating with Google Workspace and core services via SSO.
- Develop scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline system patching, monitoring, and lifecycle workflows.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely access grants and revocations aligned with security policies.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to maintain compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Coordinate with local manufacturing partners to resolve infrastructure or connectivity challenges that could impact production timelines.
- Document IT systems, access controls, and incident workflows to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
What We’re Looking For
You bring at least three years of experience in IT engineering or support roles, with demonstrated expertise in managing diverse endpoints, network systems, and identity infrastructure. You’re comfortable troubleshooting complex issues across macOS, Windows, and Linux, and you prioritize security and automation in everything you do.
Strong candidates will have experience with enterprise MDM solutions, scripting for automation, and securing distributed environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is valuable, as is hands-on work with identity providers and zero-trust access models.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role based in Taipei, with close collaboration between local teams and international sites. The position requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a technically rigorous, research-integrated engineering culture.
We value deep technical competence, ownership, and a commitment to operational rigor. All IT initiatives are aligned with the goal of accelerating innovation in AI hardware development, with no separation between engineering and research disciplines.
