Horizon Recovery is looking for a Interior Designer to support our projects with precise, realistic 3D renderings and detailed CAD work. You will be essential in bringing design concepts to life, ensuring technical accuracy and visual fidelity.
What You'll Do
- Create accurate and realistic 3D renderings using SketchUp and relevant software.
- Apply textures, components, and models with efficiency and accuracy.
- Interpret and work from CAD drawings including floorplans, elevations, and lighting plans.
- Ensure scale, proportion, lighting, and design standards are correctly represented.
- Identify and fix rendering inconsistencies like mismatched furniture heights or incorrect materials.
- Self-check work and take initiative to resolve unclear specifications or visual issues.
- Communicate effectively with designers and team members, asking questions when needed.
- Meet deadlines with a high level of efficiency and time management.
- Make minor design decisions when appropriate based on industry standards, such as counter heights or hardware placement.
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in SketchUp and rendering software.
- Solid understanding of CAD and architectural or interior design terminology.
- Interior design knowledge, including furniture placement, material use, and standard measurements.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in materials, lighting, and overall realism.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and visual awareness.
- Creative thinking with the ability to work within defined project specifications.
- A positive attitude, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and a professional license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and a professional license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design and a professional license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and a professional license.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in interior design or architecture firms.
- Familiarity with Xrefs, material tagging, blocking, and dimensioning.
- Ability to read and interpret full construction document sets.
