Role Overview
We need a technically strong 3D Rendering & CAD Specialist to produce high-quality interior visualizations. Your work will bring design concepts to life through realistic modeling, accurate proportions, and attention to detail in lighting, textures, and spatial relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build precise 3D models in SketchUp that reflect design intent and architectural documentation.
- Apply materials, furnishings, and components efficiently using trusted model libraries.
- Work from CAD files including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and electrical layouts.
- Ensure all elements adhere to standard interior design practices—correct counter heights, proper clearances, accurate hardware placement.
- Spot and correct visual or dimensional inconsistencies in models and drawings.
- Review your own work for quality and clarity, and proactively seek clarification when specifications are incomplete.
- Collaborate with design staff, asking relevant questions to ensure accurate interpretation.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines without sacrificing precision.
Required Skills
- Advanced skill in SketchUp and rendering tools for interior environments.
- Comfort interpreting CAD drawings and architectural symbols.
- Knowledge of interior design principles, including spatial planning, material application, and standard dimensions.
- Sharp eye for realism—correct lighting, texture alignment, and scale.
- Problem-solving ability and strong visual judgment.
- Ability to make minor design calls based on industry norms when guidance is limited.
- Clear communication and a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Experience
- Background in an interior design or architecture firm.
- Experience with Xrefs, material callouts, and construction documentation.
- Ability to read and understand full sets of construction drawings.
Tools We Use
SketchUp, CAD software, rendering platforms, and SketchUp Warehouse for model integration.
