Liberty Mutual Canada is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator (6-month contract)

About the Role

This role provides HR support by managing employee data, facilitating onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update personnel files and HR databases
  • Support onboarding for new hires including orientation scheduling
  • Coordinate employment documentation for new and existing staff
  • Assist with HR-related inquiries from employees and managers
  • Prepare HR correspondence and communications
  • Track employee leave balances and updates
  • Support performance review cycles and data entry
  • Administer probationary period tracking and follow-up
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
  • Organize and maintain records for employee terminations
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and metrics
  • Support payroll coordination by verifying HR inputs
  • Manage employee status changes in HR systems
  • Facilitate background check and reference verification processes
  • Coordinate training session logistics as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
  • Support compliance audits and data verification
  • Assist with internal HR policy communication
  • Track employee milestones such as work anniversaries
  • Help administer employee recognition programs
  • Liaise with external vendors on HR-related services
  • Ensure consistency in HR processes across departments
  • Participate in HR process improvement initiatives
  • Support special projects as assigned by HR leadership
