About the Role
This position is responsible for supporting compliance programs by identifying risks, evaluating policies, and ensuring adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations. The individual will work across departments to maintain ethical standards and operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting healthcare delivery and compliance
- Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to compliance protocols
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training programs
- Investigate potential compliance concerns and document findings
- Prepare reports for leadership on compliance performance metrics
- Collaborate with legal and operational teams to implement corrective actions
- Maintain compliance documentation and tracking systems
- Assist in managing third-party vendor compliance requirements
- Evaluate policies and procedures for alignment with current regulations
- Participate in risk assessments for new programs or services
- Track and report on compliance-related key performance indicators
- Support incident management processes related to regulatory breaches
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping in accordance with retention policies
- Engage with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of compliance
- Contribute to internal control frameworks and compliance frameworks
- Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries or audits
- Identify trends in compliance data to inform proactive measures
- Help maintain up-to-date compliance policies and standard operating procedures
- Work with leadership to prioritize compliance improvement initiatives
- Support enterprise-wide compliance communication strategies
Nice to Have
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) credential
- Master's degree in public health, law, or business administration
- Direct experience in a medical group or outpatient care setting
- Background in regulatory audit response or government investigations
- Advanced knowledge of EHR systems and health information privacy
