Responsibilities
- Conduct independent clinical assessments to match patients to the most appropriate treatment pathways
- Deliver remote one-to-one and group interventions to help patients change eating habits and lifestyle behaviours
- Work closely with the MDT, attending regular meetings to review, monitor and optimise patient care
- Participate in clinical supervision with a Practitioner Psychologist to discuss complex or high-risk cases
- Identify and appropriately manage clinical risk, including safeguarding concerns
- Maintain CPD, clinical supervision, and registration requirements (HCPC/AfN) in line with best practice standards
- Ensure all patient data is handled with strict confidentiality, following Data Protection Act requirements
Requirements
- Qualified Dietitian or Nutritionist with experience in weight management, bariatrics, mental health, eating disorders, or Tier 3 specialist services.
- Deep understanding of obesity as a complex, chronic condition, including the psychological, social, and medical challenges faced by people living with obesity, particularly the impact of weight stigma.
- Demonstrated experience delivering weight management support, using evidence-based approaches to empower sustainable lifestyle and behaviour change
- Skilled in providing empathetic, person-centred care to individuals with both physical and mental health complexities
- Confidence in managing your caseload and delivering one-to-one or group nutritional interventions remotely (e.g., via video consultations)
- Emotional resilience and the ability to thrive in challenging situations
- Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a doctor-led multidisciplinary team (MDT), actively contributing to collaborative patient care
- Experience supporting the full patient journey, including assessments, appointment scheduling, attendance monitoring, follow-ups, and GP correspondence
- Competent in using digital tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or similar systems to track and monitor patient progress and service metrics
- Familiarity with developing, following, and improving service protocols
- Energised by working in a fast-paced, healthcare tech environment, where flexibility, adaptability, and a hands-on approach are key
- Confident using technology to deliver high-quality patient care, including maintaining accurate records and engaging with digital health platforms
