Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the long-term product vision for Activate’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market trends.
- Own and maintain detailed product roadmaps for all Activate products, balancing innovation with delivery feasibility.
- Build strong relationships with customers to gather feedback, validate features, and identify opportunities for product enhancement.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the business, ensuring product decisions maximise value for users and the business.
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Activate to ensure product initiatives are aligned with business goals and operational needs.
- Partner closely with the Head of Development and development teams to translate roadmaps into well-defined features, user stories, and deliverables.
- Ensure delivery teams understand the “why” behind each product decision, fostering a culture of purpose-driven development.
- Work with QA, UX/UI, and data teams to ensure products are high quality, intuitive, and measurable.
- Keep ahead of InsurTech, fleet management, and accident management trends to ensure Activate products remain competitive and innovative.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for AI, automation, and data-led product improvements.
- Define and track key product metrics, ensuring that product performance meets expectations and drives ROI.
- Establish best practice in product management processes, tools, and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior product leadership, ideally within SaaS, InsurTech, or B2B technology sectors.
- Track record of delivering successful products from concept to market.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Experience working closely with software development teams in an Agile environment.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of insurance, claims, fleet, or accident management industries.
- Experience embedding AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics into products.
- Familiarity with modern UX/UI practices.

Team size: 1000+ team members nationwide. Structure: Reports to and partners closely with the Head of Development; works with development teams, QA, UX/UI, and data teams.

We work with some of the UK’s largest fleets and insurance companies, supporting drivers that have been involved in road incidents through our contact centres in Halifax, Peterborough and Huddersfield. We manage every step of the repair journey - repairing vehicles at our own Activate Accident Repair (AAR) body shops, as well as through a UK-wide network of trusted independent repair partners.
