As Head of Product Design, you will guide both people and product, combining leadership with direct contribution to shape meaningful experiences in a complex data-driven domain. You'll build and mentor a team that prioritizes impact, clarity, and ethical design, while personally leading key product areas from concept to launch.
What You’ll Do
- Recruit, develop, and lead a design team that thrives in ambiguity and delivers strategic value
- Own end-to-end user experience for critical workflows, balancing usability, compliance, and speed
- Champion usability as a core performance indicator, using fast, iterative testing to validate decisions
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering from the earliest stages to shape direction and reduce risk
- Drive a culture of continuous learning through direct user engagement and research
- Translate user insights into compelling product visions that influence company strategy
- Use product data to uncover friction points and improve experience quality over time
- Advance the design system to support rapid development while maintaining accessibility and consistency
- Integrate AI and modern tools to streamline design processes and accelerate feedback loops
What We’re Looking For
You have deep experience designing for complex B2B SaaS or healthtech platforms, with at least eight years in product design roles. You’ve led or coached designers, helping them grow beyond execution into strategic thinking. You’re comfortable operating with limited resources, finding creative ways to uncover user needs quickly.
Technically fluent, you can engage meaningfully with engineering teams and understand how data architecture shapes user experience. You rely on research and prototyping to test ideas rapidly, often getting feedback within hours. You’re skilled at interpreting metrics to shift focus from outputs to outcomes.
Preferred Background
- Experience in healthcare, privacy, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with data pipelines, analytics platforms, or marketing tech ecosystems
- Track record building or scaling design systems in growing organizations
- Exposure to AI-powered design tools or development workflows
- Proven ability to advise executive teams on long-term product direction
