About the Role

Lead the development and execution of financial operations, including planning, analysis, and reporting, to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure timely and precise financial reporting
  • Guide strategic financial decision-making across departments
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Supervise internal financial controls and compliance
  • Collaborate with department heads on financial planning
  • Drive cost management and efficiency initiatives
  • Lead capital planning and fundraising strategy
  • Evaluate new business opportunities from a financial perspective
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity management
  • Prepare board-level financial presentations
  • Establish financial policies and procedures
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Lead the finance team through periods of growth
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships when needed
  • Optimize financial systems and tools
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and scenario planning
  • Align financial goals with company strategy
  • Manage external investor reporting
  • Provide insights to executive leadership
  • Scale financial operations as the company expands

Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced finance degree
  • CPA or CFA certification
  • Experience in a public company setting
  • Prior experience as a CFO or interim CFO
  • Background in fintech or financial software
  • Experience with global teams
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance
  • Experience in M&A transactions
  • Public speaking or board presentation experience
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting
