Washington University in St. Louis is hiring a Grants Financial Analyst II (Remote) - Neurology

This position supports the financial management of awarded grants in the Neurology department, ensuring compliance with university and agency requirements. The analyst works closely with principal investigators, accounting teams, and external sponsors to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial records throughout the grant lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee post-award financial operations, including budget forecasting, expense tracking, and account reconciliation
  • Collaborate with researchers to adjust budgets, manage fund allocations, and implement necessary changes
  • Review and approve procurement requests in alignment with grant-specific guidelines
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, status updates, and final documentation to funding agencies
  • Manage subaward invoicing and coordinate internal and external information requests
  • Support grant closeout procedures, including final reporting and compliance verification
  • Coordinate proposal submissions, budget development, and justification materials
  • Maintain awareness of federal, institutional, and sponsor-specific regulations
  • Track reporting deadlines and ensure timely delivery of required documentation
  • Update and maintain grant databases and proposal award histories

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. At least two years of relevant experience in grants management or financial analysis is expected. Familiarity with agency guidelines and financial systems such as SUBS is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Workday, and Adobe Acrobat is essential for daily operations.
