Deel is looking for a German Payroll Specialist to join our team. At Deel, we're building the infrastructure for the future of work and enabling a more diverse and inclusive global economy. In this critical role, you will manage all related work processes to ensure smooth and efficient payroll processing, making a real impact on our clients' operations.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain payroll records for new hires, leavers, transfers, and contractual changes.
  • Validate all payments and deductions.
  • Process data before and after the monthly payroll in various systems and databases.
  • Support and advise clients on employment contracts, policies, taxes, mandatory insurance, and social security regulations.
  • Ensure all payments are duly authorized after appropriate review.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of monthly payroll files.
  • Respond to client enquiries via phone and email in German and potentially in English.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships and deliver world-class service.
  • Maintain KPI performance for assigned clients.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in payroll and personnel administration.
  • Fluent German and a good level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with payroll processing in local payroll legislation.
  • Competent IT user of Excel, Word, and payroll system(s).
  • Ability to work effectively on a solo basis and within a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Labor, or a related field.
  • Past experience with the German SAGE HR suite software engine.
