Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for employees located in France
- Verify employee data to ensure payroll accuracy
- Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions according to local laws
- Prepare and submit mandatory tax and social security filings
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll updates
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll records
- Reconcile payroll data with accounting systems
- Support audits by providing accurate payroll documentation
- Stay current with changes in French labor and tax regulations
- Assist in the implementation of payroll system improvements
- Ensure compliance with local employment standards
- Track paid time off and leave balances for payroll processing
- Generate payroll reports for management review
- Coordinate with third-party providers for pension and benefits deductions
- Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting and tax forms
- Onboard new employees into the payroll system
- Manage offboarding payroll calculations for departing employees
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local payroll best practices
- Support multi-currency payroll processing when applicable
- Ensure timely submission of government-mandated reports
- Monitor payroll deadlines to prevent delays
- Document payroll procedures and process changes
- Assist in payroll training for internal teams
