Theoria Medical is hiring a Full Time Mid-Level App Data Developer to join our mission to transform healthcare through innovation and technology. In this remote role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining domain-specific databases and backend data solutions that ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity for business-critical applications.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain domain-specific database schemas aligned with business and application requirements.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure efficient data exchange between systems and applications.
- Monitor database performance, storage, and indexing strategies to ensure system responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Implement backup, archiving, and data recovery best practices.
- Partner with data engineers and analysts to ensure data consistency, quality, and availability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data structures, schemas, and technical workflows.
- Provide updates and technical insights to stakeholders during the lifecycle of data projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in application-focused database development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Experience in designing schemas, optimizing queries, and managing stored procedures.
- Familiarity with backend integration and supporting APIs with efficient data structures.
- Understanding of indexing, data integrity, and performance tuning.
- Experience collaborating with developers and data professionals in an Agile environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
