We're seeking a Full-Stack PHP Software Engineer to help evolve a cloud-based platform designed to support student success through mentoring and networking. In this role, you'll work across the entire technology stack, collaborating closely with product and engineering to deliver meaningful features and enhance system architecture.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement new features that improve usability and engagement for end users
- Refactor and optimize existing functionality to support faster client integrations
- Help modernize the front-end with contemporary JavaScript frameworks
- Strengthen backend systems and contribute to building a robust continuous integration pipeline
- Take ownership of technical initiatives in a small, collaborative engineering environment
What We’re Looking For
- At least four years of experience developing public-facing web applications
- Proven ability to lead full-stack development from concept to deployment
- Strong initiative and a passion for improving engineering standards and practices
- Sensitivity to user interface design and product experience
- Commitment to advancing educational outcomes through technology
Preferred Experience
- PHP and Laravel framework
- Vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js, or React
- MySQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, and additional front-end libraries
Work Environment
