Synchrony is looking for a Front-End Software Developer to create user-friendly online applications and shape the future of payments. You will work with our User Experience team, participate in innovation events, and help define software engineering practices within the FinTech industry.
What You'll Do
- Build web applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work with a cross-shore development team.
- Collaborate to create an excellent online experience.
- Participate in agile sprints, including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and reviews.
- Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Work with third-party vendors to develop software or integrate their products.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 2+ years of web application development experience OR a High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of professional experience.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (We will not sponsor employment visas).
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding.
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Nice to Have
- Experience building responsive web applications with ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working on an agile development team.
- Experience with building React component libraries and dependency management tools like NPM.
- Experience with continuous integration environments like Jenkins.
- Experience building and deploying applications.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and UI test cases in a Test-driven development (TDD) environment.
- Working knowledge of implementing Accessibility (ADA) and Analytics requirements.

- Annual salary range: $85,000 - $140,000 USD.
