This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of gaming equipment, including slot machines, controllers, and digital signage. The engineer ensures systems operate smoothly by diagnosing technical issues, performing updates, and coordinating service activities within a defined territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and decommission gaming hardware and related components.
- Coordinate service schedules with department leads and plan field visits proactively.
- Deliver on-site and remote support for technical inquiries, maintenance planning, and customer training.
- Monitor system performance across platforms such as One Link and Vertex Bingo, initiating corrective actions when needed.
- Act as a point of contact for customer teams on service coordination, product functionality, and operational feedback.
- Lead resolution of service cases, ensuring timely follow-up and clear communication.
- Perform software updates and configurations as part of routine maintenance.
- Report monthly on field activity, equipment status, and recurring issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a professional environment at all customer locations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must have strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The role demands physical capability for lifting heavy equipment and flexibility for travel and on-call shifts.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and focused on achieving results.
- Willingness to travel frequently within EMEA, including short-notice deployments.
- Ability to work variable hours, including weekends and emergency call-outs.
- Capable of lifting up to 110kg with a partner and 23kg independently.
- Must obtain required gaming licenses, hold a valid passport and driver’s license, and comply with all safety regulations.
- Commitment to confidentiality regarding company, product, and personnel information.
Preferred Background
- Formal training or certification in electronics or a related technical field.
- Experience in gaming, digital electronics, or industrial systems maintenance.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and networking fundamentals.
- Technical understanding of digital circuitry and troubleshooting methodologies.
