Role Overview
As an Entry-Level Browser Tester, you'll ensure web applications operate consistently and reliably across multiple platforms. Your primary responsibility will be conducting detailed evaluations of website functionality, responsiveness, and performance to uphold high-quality standards. You'll work closely with technical systems, identifying issues that affect user experience and contributing to solutions that improve overall site integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Test core website features across modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- Follow defined test procedures to verify functionality and catch deviations from expected behavior
- Assess user interface consistency and flag visual or layout defects
- Validate website performance on various screen sizes and devices
- Identify and document issues related to IP protection mechanisms provided by third parties
- Check the reliability of First Party and In Stream Bidding integrations
- Monitor page load speeds and report performance concerns
- Verify correct operation of IP-based geolocation features
- Report anomalies in location-driven content or behavior
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with precise steps and observations
- Maintain up-to-date test records and track progress using defect tracking systems
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience using VPNs and proxy servers
- Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to product quality
- Basic knowledge of how websites function and what makes for a good user experience
- Familiarity with multiple operating systems and browser environments
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and adapt to changing technical demands
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technology Environment
You'll work with widely used browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential. You'll also interact with proxy and VPN technologies and use dedicated bug tracking platforms to log and manage issues.
